Rent-a-Center Grand Opening
Christine and Lauren attended the ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening of the new Rent-a-Center in Cockeysville. During the grand opening, the store gave $1,000 to the Cockeysville Library and two computers to Padonia Elementary School.

Chamber Heads to Annapolis
Today, a dozen Chamber members attended Business Day in Annapolis to show Maryland elected officials the importance of business in the state.
Keith Scott and Cliff Ishmael, chairman of the Legislative Committee and board member, represented the Chamber at the event.
Attendees heard from Senate President Thomas "Mike" Miller, Speaker of the House Michael Busch, the two Minority Leaders, Del. Anthony O'Donnell and Sen. Allan Kittleman.
Following the panel discussion, Keith and Cliff met one-on-one with five Baltimore County elected officials and talked with at least 13 more throughout the day, discussing efficiency in government, workplace mandates and the effect the budget will have on local jurisdictions.

Mega Networking Breakfast a Hit!
More than 150 people packed into Overhills Mansion in Catonsville for the Mega Networking Breakfast this morning.
The networking was fast and furious at the event, sponsored by the Baltimore County Chamber, Baltimore-Washington Corridor Chamber, and the Greater Catonsville Chamber.

2009 General Assembly Session Opens
The 2009 General Assembly Session opens today in Annapolis, faced with a looming budget deficit.
